The Gospel has not reached
its final destination.
3.4 billion people — 40 percent of the world's population — have yet to experience Jesus' loving embrace. Until a gospel presence is established among them, the U.S. Alliance will continue to send workers to be present among the world's unreached and overlooked.
Matthew 24:14 (ESV) — And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
So... now what?
Our presence matters.
Romans 10:14-15 (NLT) — But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, "How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!"
Missions isn't something Hope does far away and separate from daily life — it's who we are, right here in Cottage Grove and to the ends of the earth. Below is how we're living that out: locally, through strategic partnerships, and globally, through prayer, giving, and sending.
STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS
We believe we're called to pray, give, and go — and one of the ways we live that out at Hope is by building strategic partnerships that expand our Kingdom impact right here in our community.
More than 50% of students at Crestview aren't proficient in reading, according to the most recent state testing. Too often, kids fall behind in reading in ways that ripple into every part of their lives — and we get to be part of the solution. Through Reading Buddies, our Treat Team, Clothing Drive, and one-on-one mentoring through Kids Hope USA, we partner with Crestview to show up for these students, week after week. |
The Basic Needs Food Market in Cottage Grove provides barrier-free, dignified access to food for our neighbors. We partner with them by providing volunteers who collect food rescue from area stores, sort and restock at the market, and help with customer check-in. Volunteers (age 14+) serve in 2-hour shifts, and we're always looking for more people to join us. |
1 in 3 people in the Twin Cities are first- or second-generation immigrants, and Minnesota is home to refugees from Somalia, Burma, Iraq, Ethiopia, Bhutan, Congo, Ukraine, Syria, Liberia, the former Soviet Union, Afghanistan, and more. Envision TC equips and assists churches to reach out to refugee communities with the love of Jesus. As a church, we partner with Envision through $100/month in financial support. |

Answering the Call
On the first Sunday of each month, following our morning service, we gather as a church to pray by name for our international workers. We also send out a monthly prayer reminder so anyone can join in, even if you can't be there in person.

Christ's Great Commission is why the Christian and Missionary Alliance exists. We're compelled by Jesus' call to make disciples of all nations — and reaching the lost is worth going to the ends of the earth for.
Your gift creates and sustains gospel access among the least-reached peoples in the U.S. and nearly 80 countries. It also directly supports our international workers, providing for their physical and spiritual needs as they serve those they've been sent to. We need more workers — both to go, and to send. That might mean joining our overseas workers on the mission field, or it might mean showing up this Saturday at the Food Market, or mentoring a Crestview student one hour a week.
