In his time on earth, Jesus shared many meals, with a wide variety of dinner guests. Among them were tax collectors, religious leaders, skeptics and prostitutes. Just as Jesus reveals his character through the words he spoke and the miracles he performed, he shows himself through the meals he shared and the people with whom he shared a meal.

Jesus came to seek and save the lost and as we'll discover in the gospel of Luke his often employed strategy was to eat and drink with sinners -- so much so that his critics accused him of being a glutton and a drunkard.
