BASIC NEEDS FOOD MARKET

The Basic Needs Food Market opened on September 12 in Cottage Grove. They reached out to ask us to help partner in meeting our community’s needs. Food Market volunteers will help provide barrier-free, dignified access to food. Volunteers (age 14 and up) collect food rescue from stores in the area, sort food at the market, restock, and provide customer check-in and service. Their hours are Monday through Friday 11am to 6pm, Saturday 10 am to 2 pm. Each shift is 2 hours and requires at least 2 people. Our hope is to cover a 2nd Saturday shift each month and if more are available each week/month, we’d love to chat with you in this new way that God is moving at Hope!
