Hey Hope Family!
The Elders met this evening to talk about the Coronavirus. Here’s what was decided.
In response to guidelines of the MN Department of Health and CDC, Hope Community Church will continue to cancel all in-person activities until at least April 4th. We want to be supportive of our health officials in the attempt to lessen the transmission of the virus and in so doing bring this situation to close as soon as possible.
We will be doing online worship services for at least the next two Sundays (March 22 and March 29). The plan is that these services will be available to watch on our church Facebook page and website (www.got-hope.org) at 10:00 am each Sunday. Currently, none of us know now how this will affect our Good Friday and Easter Sunday services.
Pastor Mark, Patty and I will be working mostly from home but available via mobile and email as needed, and we will continue to meet for staff meetings on Tuesdays through this period of time.
Our Team is seeking ways to provide good resources for continued spiritual growth. Let’s stay connected with each other using face-time, social apps and mobile devices.
Please check on any vulnerable people within your circle of contacts and groups, especially those who might be in the “at risk” categories. Share encouragement and resources as needed, and if there are more tangible needs, please don’t hesitate to ask.
I know these are scary days but this is the time for the Church to show hope to a frightened world. I’m reminded of the words of the Psalmist when he said I sought the Lord and He answered me; HE delivered me from all my Fears.
Rejoicing in HIM,
